TOSHIBA
Toshiba is Ashigawa's largest company in the computing industry. Started out as a manufacturer of simple computing devices, they have grown during the Great War thanks to military contracts for various coding and decoding and calculating machinery. Nowdays they develop and produce cutting edge computing equipment, in league with Lusatia's IBM and UKUG's Atari.
FUJITSU
Fujitsu is the largest in the nation producer of imaging equipment and supplies. Known for their photo and notion films, medical imaging such as x-rays and recently the company has entered the market of televisions.
NIKON
The largest producer of optics in Ashigawa, Nikon, similarly to many other companies, raised to greatness during the Great War. The produce anything optical, from glasses to sniper scopes, as well as their partnership with Fujitsu led to their development of cutting edge camera equipment.
YAMAHA
Yamaha is the largest manufacturer of radios and radio equipment in Ashigawa. One of their largest clients are the Imperial Navy who require powerful radio equipment to communicate between ships and with the Home Islands when far out in the ocean. Their secondary line of products are musical in nature - players (Gramaphones), records and instruments.
TRUENO
Largest car manufacturer, at least when it's outperforming it's largest competitor. They specialize in regular passenger cars, sports cars and economy cars.
NISSAN
Trueno's largest competitor that specializes in regular passenger and economy cars, with a secondary line in tracked equipment, such as tractors and bulldozers, as well us light and medium duty cargo trucks. Due to the wide variety of product lines, they are known as "jacks of all trades, masters of none". Despite that, even though they rarely come on top, they provide healthy competition for other car companies.
ISUZU
Nissan's competitor in light and medium duty cargo trucks, as well as the primary manufacturer of slecialized vehicles such as busses and delivery vans.
KADOKAWA
Kadokawa is Ashigawa's largest publisher of printed literature. In addition to publishing various books and magazines (many of whom are actually released under Kadokawa's numerous subsidiary publishers), Kadokawa is responsible for print and distribution of the national newspaper, for which it recieves public funding.
YUMETA STUDIOS
The biggest conglomerate of radio and motion film publications, it's subsidiaries include some of the most famous studios such as Toho Film, Studio Shochiku and Kyoto Animation.
SEGA
The most popular in Ashigawa distributor of entertainment products, Sega started out as a simple childrens toy company. Nowdays they are the largest toy and games producer, with puzzles and tabletop games being among their most popular products.
