Ambassador Trent Scofield was instructed by the ministry of foreign affairs and trade to establish a trade network with the Free Cities Alliance. A telegram of his arrival would be sent ahead of him docking off in Lusatia and taking a steam train to their main rail line station to await further instructions on where to proceed.

Ambassador Scofield would board his train and it would make its way towards the city of Hikablum. As it approached the first thing that could be noticed was the gigantic wall spanning the entire mountain pass. It was the largest structure he had likely ever seen. As the train approached the wall he would be able to see a set of doors open at the base as the train headed into the tunnel and after a moment of darkness it exited the other side. Here there was city as far as the eye could see. The train tracks elevated above the floor but even then there were some operating at a lower level than the highest buildings. The train would make its way to the center of the city, stopping at the main train terminal, where the Ambassador would be greeted by an escort who would lead him to a room in which one of the top merchants of the city was waiting.
"Ah Ambassador Scofield. I'm glad you could make it to our fine city. How can we help you this day?"

"Thank you for having me, I'm here on request of his royal majesty King Rufus McDonald to expand our trade network. He wants to deepen UKUG trade into the continent and enrich both our nations. I believe we can make a lot of progress here today, there is much the free cities can bring to the United Kingdom and the realm is at the ready to do the same."

"Well in that case there is a lot that can be done, the first thing is setting up meetings with the necessary people." The merchant would pull out a notepad and pen. "Is there a specific thing you are looking to trade in? Depending on what you wish to discuss you might need to visit Hallas or Geum. Though I recommend visiting them anyway." He would write something. "Also I assume you wish to meet with Lady Hikablum? She was actually going to be hosting a ball soon so if you want I can get you an invitation to that as well." A worker came in with a bottle of wine and two glasses, pouring one for the merchant. "Would you like a glass of wine? Some of the finest quality that we can produce."

Scofield would nod politely, “please, thank you.”
After being poured some wine and taking a taste he would answer the question poised. “We’re seeking addition raw materials, luxury goods and the rights to sell Gaelian wares in the free cities. The arrangement with various companies can be handled once we have a trade agreement. I would very much appreciate the invitation to the ball, would be considered a dear favor to the realm. As for Hellas and Geum I should have time to visit them, I have been given the authority and resources to see this through.”

"Hmm well that's certainly something that can be done, though of course it will involves a lot of work." The merchant snapped his fingers and soon several documents were placed in his hands. "Alright so for raw materials you will need to speak with Hallas and Geum for sure, I recommend focusing Geum for raw. Luxury goods can be found here, but if you want really fancy wares Hallas is probably the best, their artificers are the best. As for selling, any company that wishes to sell here needs to register with the Merchants Union, though that shouldn't be too difficult." Finally a servant arrived with a letter, which the merchant would hand to Scofield. "And here is your invitation to the Ball, present it at the gates and they will let you through."

Scofield would grin as he received the invitation, "I will see that am at my best for this, as for the rest. We shall register with the Merchants Union to begin properly selling our goods here and I shall send staff to Hallas and Geum to procure what the realm needs. I shall have the proper paperwork done in the time needed to see it through."
He would stand up still showing a warm and pleasant smile as he had enjoyed the meeting, "I thank you deeply for meeting me here, and for the invitation, if there is anything his majesty of the Celts can do for you and your people, please do not hesitate to ask of it."
