Currency
There are a total of five valid currencies in the FCA. The main currency is the Scarab denoted by the symbol ¤. The Scarab has no physical currency, payment being recorded by banks and banking cards. This is due to the currency being backed by the four other currencies in the FCA. The other 4 currencies in the FCA are: the Hikald, the Boseld, the Duca, and the Nyakk.
Hikald: Fiat currency
Hikald is a paper currency with no coins. It is regulated by the Banking Guild of Hikablum and was created to standardize currency within the city. As such it is also available in card form. It has the lowest value of all FCA currencies though this is deliberate as it ensures that exports are cheaper and Hikablum's goods are competitive on the global market.
Boseld: Platinum standard
A coin and plate based currency. All currency is smithed and has value depending on the quality of the smithing as well as which smithy created it. The least standardized of the currencies it is also the highest valued. It is used in Geum.
Duca: Gold standard
A coin and note currency. It is the most normal of the currencies with 5, 25, 50, and 100 value coins and notes worth up to 100,000. It is used in Hallas.
Nyakk: Gem standard
A bracelet currency. The most unique of the currencies the currency is similar to a barter system. Used by the protected tribes the Nyakk are worn as accessories and are imbedded with precious gems which give them their value.
