Wallace Railway was always looking to stay ahead of cutting-edge steam locomotive technology, their rivalry with Great Western Railway drove the two of them into developing more refined engines and better rail networks. But Patrick Wallace knew he needed the best to beat his rivals, and the best rail smiths were in Koi. He sent Adam Wimberly a company representative to the Republic of Koi with blueprints of a locomotive concept the Gaelians had come up with but couldn't figure out the engineering or science to make it happen. He would travel via shipping liner across the channel into Lusatia and take a train that connected all the way to Koi, when he arrived at Lusatia, he would use their telegram network to send a message to the Koi railroad for a meeting. He would then take connecting trains to Koi.

Adam Wimberly would arrive at Platform 9 of the Central Ember Railway Station. The station would be bustling, the sounds of station masters yelling which trains were on which platforms while trains hiss as they wait for their loads as other trains steam by outside the station, staol trains heading to the Northwest chugging by as they're waved through the weighing the stations ensuring they've got their dedicated amounts to their destinations.
Walking outside of the station, the representative would be met with the bustling sounds of Ember, one of the larger cities of Koi. The smell of staol was the most apparent smell, but it'd quickly be met with the smell of concrete and asphalt, brick from the station, and soon the smells of something sweet wafting through the air. A few taxis sat off to the left side of the entrance, though a much busier tramway on the far side of the street seemed to be where many of the disembarked passengers were heading. However, to the right side, a single black car, its engine burning hot as small puffs of orange smoke escape its exhaust, would be sitting with a Koian leaning against it, a newspaper folded under their arm as they look at their watch. They'd turn to look towards the entrance, their large eyes meeting with the representative's.

Wimberly would make his way toward the black car his eyes occasionally floating over at the city and his surroundings. When came to the Koian he would shyly raise his hand to greet him smiling as he said, "Hello, i'm here to meet with the railroad officials."

The Koian would shake his hand before giving a slight bow. "You're Mr. Wimberly, correct? I'm Enno Viiding, I was instructed to come and pick you up." He'd open the door he's standing next to, motioning for him to step in. "I'll be taking you directly to the Koian National Railway headquarters here in Ember. Please let me know if you'd hungry or need anything before we make it there."

Wimberly would laugh and lightly pat his stomach, "Oh no I'm quite full from the meal on the train. I'm ready to depart when you are." If there wasn't anything else, Wimberly would enter the car to be driven to the Koian National Railway headquarters.

Viiding would smile and nod, letting Wimberly step into the car before closing the door after him and hopping into the driver's seat. He'd start up the car, pulling out onto the street and driving off. While moving down the road, the Gaelic would be able to see many brightly-colored outfits walking on the sidewalks lining the streets. The roads would be somewhat crowded, though mostly consisting of buses and trolleys. The buildings of Ember would be painted in bright colors, though much of the lower floors of these buildings would be stained darker from years of wear and tear.
The car would come to a stop at one intersection, the red stoplights flashing rather than being solid like they normally should. The ground would rumble for a moment before a steam engine would come plowing into view, traveling along the rails embedded in the street. It'd be a full freight train, chugging down the line between the rows of cars, trucks, and buses. Several moments would pass before it clears the intersection, the light turning green and allowing them to finish the drive to the headquarters.
The building itself would be half office-space and half giant warehouse. Several tracks would lead into giant bay doors though the doors would be closed so what is inside is hidden away for the time being. The car would pull in front of the entrance, the driver stepping out and opening Wimberly's door to let him out. Another person would be standing at the door to the building, holding it open and bowing as the Gaelian approaches.

Wimberly would take everything in as he rode in the car, when they reached their destination, he would thank Viiding and enter the building.

Wimberly would be led through the lobby brightly lit and up the stairs. He’d walk past a few offices with employees hard at work, then what appears to be a drafting room, though empty of any employees for now, before finally making it to a large conference room. He’d be let in, greeted by the distinct smell of the oak wood that adorns the cream-painted room. Peering down the large room, he’d see a group of people, two in suits, two in simple business casual, one who looks like he was plucked off the factory floor, and another who looks like he’s better suited driving a train than being in a meeting. Of the two in suits, one would be a male Lüiõ Koian while the other is a male Caucasian human. The Koian would step forward, bowing before extending a hand. “I presume you’re Adam Wimberly? I’m Kristjan Parn.”

Wimberly would accept Parn's hand shaking it, "I am, thank you for meeting me here today. I have something I think will benefit us all."

Parn would nod and smile. “Please, do share.” He’d make a quick motion and the others would step away from the paper they were working on and gather around the table.

Wimberly would walk over to the table, pulling out some papers "our team came up with this, but we aren't sure about the tech yet. Wanted to see what you thought, we've been tinkering with the designs a bit but this is the final draft." "What do you lads think?"

The group would look over the blueprints, scrutinizing it. One of the ones in business casual would pull out a red pen, putting a small mark over the driving rods, correcting a minor mistake in the length of the main leverage arm. "I think it looks like a beautiful engine."
The other would pipe up in very heavily-accented commons. "What they think traction effort?"
The factory worker would speak in thick Koian, Parn translating for him. "Did they happen to give a weight?"
The one who looks like a driver would tap Wimberly on the shoulder. His accent would be even thicker than the rest, his single word question almost incomprehensible. "Speed?"

It would close the gap on continental travel considerably."

The simple statement of one hundred miles an hour would easily translate through to all of them, each nodding in agreement.
One of the engineers would look up at Wimberly. "Judging by the speed, you hope for passenger engine, no? How many cars expected on average?"

"Judging by the speed, you hope for passenger engine, no? How many cars expected on average?" "That's the kicker, 7 at best. So it would have to be express not long haul luxury unless we sacrifice a few cars or find a way to make them lighter."
