It had been a couple years since Walsh accepted her position as head ambassador of Ashinara, while she had grown accustomed to living in the country she was starting to yearn for her family back home. She signed on for one more year and decided within herself to request a transfer back home to Ulster-Gaelia.
When she got the request from the Ashinarians to meet again, she grabbed a portfolio of weapons used by the Royal Military and made her way out of her apartment to meet with them.

As Walsh would make her way through the Upper District of Kyograd, she would witness an unfamiliar scene. This was the first Spring since the Tafatu War has ended. Not only did that mean that the tension among all the citizens has finally been relieved, but also that the budget could be diverted to things other than the war effort. This meant that the annual Spring Festival was finally back on. Historically a celebration of the switch between the two farming cycles (being the the tropics, Ashinaran crops grew year round), it gradually became one of the four seasonal festivals. This year, however, spirits were even higher, as families were welcoming their fathers, husbands and sons home from the war. A number of veterans in dress uniforms could be seen, some with medals on their chests, some with missing limbs, some with casts on broken arms, but visibly glad to be home. Many streets were already lined with decorations, and the bigger ones were being blocked off for all but pedestrian traffic by the Gendarmes to begin setting up festival booths on those streets.
As Walsh reached the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she'd be greeted by the staff who also were more enthusiastic than during her last visit. Finally, once she'd be escorted a conference room, she'd be greeted by Tkachenko. Minister Tagomych was also there, as well as a few unfamiliar faces, two of them in Royal Army uniforms, and one in a Royal Navy uniform.
"Ah, Pani Walsh," Tkachenko said, as he saw her walk in. "It is good to see you again."

"Of course, I came here as soon as I could. How can I help today?"

"As we've outline in our letter," Tagomych began, as everyone took their seats at the conference table, "we're interested in purchasing a small amount of all of Gaelia's sidearms for testing, to see if the Royal Army would be interested in purchasing any production licenses."
"With the exception of the Light Machine Gun, of course, since we've already purchased those from you before, back when the War was still ongoing," an officer in an Army uniform added.
"There was another matter that we wished to discuss," a third man, this one wearing a Navy uniform, added, "it wasn't outlined in the letter Pan Tkachenko sent you because, unfortunately, the Admiralty has dispatched me on an extremely short notice, and I reached the MFA only after that letter was already sent to you. But please, I'll let the initial weapons talks to proceed first before moving to my matter."

Walsh would hand over a portfolio of small arms used by the Royal Army, "I just need the amount of how much you're wanting to acquire from us. As for production licenses those come at a price depending on what you want to build."

The Army officers would take the folder, looking over the weapon models.
"We would like to buy 10 McCarron Model 4's 20 Cricket handguns, 10 Bata Borradhs, 30 Vickers MGs, as well as a package of 10,000 rounds of ammunition for each of the guns. As for the licenses, we'll get back to you after testing them."
"If you are finished with your matter," the Navy officer spoke up again, "let as move to mine." As he was saying that, the two Army officers, and even secretary Tkachenko bid their farewells and left the room. "Ms. Walsh," he said, surprisingly using the Gaelic title instead of the Ashinaran 'Pani', "the Admiralty is considering asking UKUG for assistance on a top secret naval project. May we count on your confidentiality that you will deliver what I have to say to exclusively those individuals who have the authority to grant or deny such a request?"

"It would be 65,000 pounds for the guns and ammunition." She turned to the Navy officer once they spoke, "What are we talking about?"

As Tkachenko wrote down the price stated by Walsh before leaving with the Army officers.
"We're looking into exploring a new avenue of combat. Seeing as you are an island nation with a powerful Navy yourself, we figured you'd be the one to consult about it. We're... experimenting... With combining combat aircaft with Naval vessels."

Walsh raised her eyebrow "you mean carriers?"

Tagomych tunred to the Navy officer. "I told you all we're doing is catching up to them, they've already got that."
"Yes," the Officer said, turning back to Walsh. "We're trying to build our first carrier. And we're looking for... guidance on the best way to do it."

Walsh was albeit, a bit taken aback by the request, "I don't know how else to say this, No. This is a new concept and the United Kingdom isn't in the market for sharing new technology that it hasn't even fully tested."

"Well, it was worth a try," the Navy officer said, clasping his hands together. "Thank you for your time, Ambassador."
After exchanging pleasantries with Walsh before she would leave, Tagomych, with the Navy officer still with him, called the Admiralty. "The Gaelians have refused to assist with the project. Given the ambassador's reaction, I believe they are trying to be secretive about the carrier concept. Double the efforts in the R&D, I believe we may have struck a gold mine with developing the idea, even if we are late to the party."

Ashinaran Office of Foreign Affairs has once again reached out to the Gaelians, except this time they offered for an Ashinaran representative to visit the UKUG homeland. In a letter detailing what they'd like to discuss, the Ashinarans stated that they wanted to work on improving their nation's education, and to that means, they'd like to both sends Ashinarans to study in UKUG universities, and invite UKUG experts to teach in Ashinaran schools.

Walsh had been busy in her time as ambassador to Ashinara, when she received another notice for a meeting it no longer surprised her or filled her with anxiety. This was just her life now, though the new trade lanes across the Shawbalt did mean she could finally have Gaelic lamb and steaks brought to her office.
She would set up a meeting at the Gaelic embassy.
