Summary of Strategy:
The Dirian Army is an exception compared to its southern neighbors and technically the most recognized land force for Nardras southern stretches, with a reasonable size and constant reserves of renewed and trained troops through the policy of compulsory service. The Dirian Army has undergone numerous changes since its independence, from a disorganized militia to a now united and trained force. Through these changes, the Dirian Army has sought to master desert warfare, be flexible with independent units, and know its shortcomings and the numerical disadvantage compared to neighboring countries like Galra or Verak. Thus, the Dirian Army has invested in defense in depth and, more recently, maneuverability, locally dubbed nomadic or mobile warfare, and projects that would help in a future invasion from its neighbors.
Focusing on defense, the Dirian Army trains to minimize losses while maximizing damage through hit-and-run tactics, elastic defenses, psychological warfare, and using its geographic strengths when fighting against greater odds to profit from an opponent's attrition. For example, in the desert, on tenuous mountainous roads, or in less important positions, small groups of soldiers or light vehicles could engage in harassing advancing or occupying enemy forces. Either eliminating the front and rear guards of theaters, engaging in a timed ambush, or cutting logistics lines by the time they reach their max and then quickly retreating to an advantageous position away from a responding or retaliating enemy. However, in more critical locations like train yards or cities, the Dirian Army prepares with either elastic defenses, advantageous positions, choke points, or timed scorched-earth measures, and usually forward hedgehog defenses that further harass and slow an attacking force. At the same time, a rear guard within a critical location like a city or resource prepares for an extended time of constant defensive combat and dug-in positions holding key choke points, such as a kill zone, with defenders expected to attempt and cause heavy enemy losses once the moment comes.
The Dirian strategy remains its weakest for offensive action, unable to utilize its best traits whenever a more significant force can hold its ground by sheer volume. Thus, the Diria Army, in the recent decade, has formulated what it calls nomadic or mobile warfare, envisioning strategies focusing on its movements and speed, attacking an occupier or defender at its weakest point or operational condition with armor, mechanized or mobile infantry and further concentrating on flanks and keeping momentum in conflict, ensuring to overwhelm a defender even with numerical supremacy. Furthermore, the Dirian Army, if applicable, would circumvent a defender in its entirety if it's on a homefront and instead focus on liberating its cities, strongholds, or logistical points. Hence, the strategy focuses on eliminating the capabilities of a defender before they can muster a comprehensive defense. Sadly, the plan has problems with air cover and the actual mechanization of its infantry, which the Dirian Armed Forces has researched or sought to develop better armor, transport, anti-air, or an air force.
Summary of Uniform and Kit:
The traditional foot soldier may seem simple, but in truth, there are many things a soldier needs to be a soldier. Which, Diria's Standard Infantry loadout follows the same rules. Firstly, the Dirian Army's uniforms center around three regions: the desert, plains, and mountains. The largest stockpile of these uniforms in the Dirian Army is the desert-oriented olive-khaki colored uniform, which the olive-khaki uniform consists of:
- Cotton Olive-Khaki Tunics.
- Cotton Olive-Khaki Tunics.
- Cotton Khaki Short-Sleeves or Long-Sleeve Shirts.
- Cotton Olive-Khaki Trousers or Shorts and Belt.
- Linen or Cotton Khaki Gaiters.
- Olive-Green Boots.
- Occasionally an Olive-Khaki Tie.
The second uniform, used in the plains or mountains, is an olive-green color and consists of the following:
- Cotton Olive-Green Tunics.
- Cotton Olive-Green Tunics.
- Cotton Khaki Short-Sleeves or Long-Sleeve Shirts.
- Cotton Olive-Green Trousers and Belt.
- Linen or Cotton Khaki Gaiters.
- Olive-Green Boots.
- Occasionally an Olive-Khaki Tie.
- Occasionally Snow-White Ponchos.
Also, a garrison cap, patrol cap, or helmet accompanies a soldier's uniform. The garrison cap or side cap is the most common for a soldier away from his duties or not on an assignment. Easy to store and light, the garrison cap, as its primary name-sake, is used mainly around garrisons or HQs. However, it is technically allowed on active deployment, but the patrol cap, or field cap, remains the most popular for soldiers in such duties. With the appearance of a kepi and is constructed similarly to a baseball cap, the patrol cap remains light but practical, and its flat top visor provides adequate protection for a soldier's eyes. Finally, the most protective option and standard issue in frontline combat or hazardous regions are the M21 Steel Helmets, lovingly called The Kosa-Kask, or The Bowl Helm by troops, having extreme similarities to the UKUG Steel Helmet, with subtle adjustments and additions, like added padding or indentions for better ventilation.
Furthermore, the standard for both colors of uniforms is on-person identification and rank. Most identification comes in tags, usually oval or circular, made by a regimental HQ, with a soldier's enlistment information, like name, age, birthplace, rank, blood type, and other info needed on it. Whether worn around a soldier's neck or tucked in one's tunic pocket, the tag allows for standard identification in everyday necessity or in a worst-case scenario. However, rank is usually fixed in visibility, shown from a soldier's tunic shoulders as rectangular patches with different variations between ranks through additional lines, markings, or colors. Furthermore, embellished shoulder patches and collar tabs are typical for non-commissioned officers and above, and infrequently helmet markings are standard for officers and above. Nonetheless, occasionally in rare circumstances where tunics are not required or worn, a soldier can be identified by a short abbreviation of their rank on their shirts.
Next, and typically reserved for assignments, a soldier's kit consists of a darker olive-khaki webbing set featuring additional front pouches with clips for accessory equipment, tools, gear pouches, or holsters. A soldier would also maintain a knapsack featuring bottom fasteners for a smaller haversack attached bellow and ties for a sun-blocking tarp and blanket, usually folded and secured above the knapsack. This kit would allow a soldier to protect themselves from the elements and hold the essentials such as:
- Ammunition.
- A Bayonet.
- A Shovel.
- A Canteen.
- A Hygiene Kit.
- A Basic Medical Kit.
- Combat Rations.
- Additional or Replacement Clothing.
- Personal Belongings.
Further, depending on the squad composition or location:
- Extra Ammunition.
- Extra Blankets.
- Larger Basic Medical Kits.
- Larger Hygiene Kits.
- Extra Combat Rations.
- A Shemagh.
- A Poncho.
Different roles also vary in their kits, as a corpsman's kit would consist of advanced medical supplies and provisions to assist the wounded by temporary means or surgery. Similarly, a gun group composed of a machine gunner and an assistant gunner would possess corresponding pouches or baggage for ammunition, barrel replacements, and the tools to operate such weaponry. Finally, an AT, Engineers, or Sappers section would include the accommodations for engineering tools, explosives, and ordnance relating to their operations, roles, and objectives.

Summary of Weaponry (WIP):
Dirian weaponry is a topic of complication, as the Dirian Armed Forces and, subsequently, the Army has an incredibly varied stockpile of weapons left over from the Dirian-Veraki War, Dirian War for Independence, or the Great Dirian-Nardras Revolt. Nonetheless, having such a large cache of weapons had its advantages. Yet, by the 1920s, managing it had become increasingly problematic, causing the Dirian Armed to either sell off most of its undesirable weapons, recycle, or re-chambered most small arms into the favored .303 caliber. Nonetheless, some locally made models have arisen, usually from older foreign designs or accustomed to Diria, like the Model 1924 Kascian.
- Model 1924 Kascian (.303 Rifle):
- Model 1924 A Kascian (.303 Rifle, Bipod Variant):

Summary of Vehicles (WIP):
Similarly to weaponry, the Dirian Armed Forces, and subsequently the Army, has many vehicles of foreign descent, yet newer local designs have been created and produced. Nonetheless, these stockpiles prove considerably smaller than small arms due to the nature of Diria's creation. Regardless of Diria's location and what could be considered stereotypical for the southern Nardras, the Dirian Army has a reasonable stockpile of trucks and armored vehicles. Still, most have shown their age due to considerable use or lack of maintenance, and the supply has gradually dwindled as vehicles are either cannibalized, retired, or sold to foreign buyers.

Summary of Issues:
The Dirian Army equipment varies dramatically, with its large variety of equipment in stockpile proving more of a liability than a boon. Nonetheless, a gun is a gun, but in conflict, managing an army with guns and equipment, old and new, from the UKUG, Amali, Marrlan, Lusatian, and many others have created a logistical nightmare that Dirian Army has desperately attempted to fix. Yet, with a solution outside reach, besides rechambering what firearms it can, the Dirian stockpiles have deteriorated away, wasted, or too outdated to be considered practical by a constantly insatiable high command.
Adding to Diria's current logistical issues, the Dirian Army also has actively combated one major struggle: mechanization. Ambitious for Diria's limited industrial base and economic prowess, the initiative to become mechanized has proven demanding. Nonetheless, the increasingly confident or stubborn Dirian High Command has insisted on its nomadic or mobile warfare theory. Nevertheless, gaps in the Army's revisionistic strategy are apparent, and the looming plurality of air warfare seems increasingly inevitable. Thus, planes could easily dominate and wreak havoc on the Dirian Army, even if it finished its mechanization.
