Summarized history: Shiysil has a complicated and bloody history. The recent century has not been kind to the country after numerous lost wars and partition leaving it a shell of what was once a powerful Central Touli state. In recent years it has reformed into a party directed totalitarian state with one purpose, establish a Shiysil Empire within Touli. They have spent the last ten years raising a large military force for the occasion of invading Frannerre or the Touli Union to take land for its new venture, however before it could act it signed a military alliance with Galra and has withheld their intent to invade the neighboring nations in exchange for economic and military aid.

Important figures

Karem Azeri

President of Shiysil, Azeri has ruled over Shiysil and its 'Republic' since 1913. He has on multiple occasions suspended elections, increased military spending to threaten Frannerre for territory he believes rightfully belongs to Shiysil and wants to restore the Shiysil Empire by invading Western Frannerre and Tafatu. In 1923 he suspended the Shiysil Congressional Assembly and installed the Council of protectors citing it to safeguard Shiysil's democratic institutions, these were met with fierce protests that the Shiysil military violently put down killing over 93 people in unrestricted gunfire into crowds. This event inspired President Okeena to put down the Tafatu rebellion in a similar fashion. Azeri is a man quick to resort to violence to get what he wants and is a large threat to Western Toulian peace.

Major Cities 


Yuzkatan

The capital of Shiysil is built on top of the bones of the old Sanshin Empire. Underground tunnels mark the old Elenrian infrastructure to this day as massive modern buildings reach to the sky. Yuzkatan is a wealthy center of power for Shiysil and the seat of its government. Underneath the initial appearance of a rich modern city being built in Touli however is a massive poverty class struggling to survive in it. It is located in Southern Shiysil near the border of Eleria.

Borio

A major transit hub located in Eastern Shiysil, Borio is a complicated city where culture clashes have forced a detachment of Shiysil soldiers to occupy it. Borio is home to a large quantity of the Shiysil industrial complex and also a major distribution hub for the country as most of its railways connect to Borio. The city has a constant air of tension and violent crime usually dominates news cycles within it.

Hazak

An old Sanshin fortress in the North, the Shiysil turned this location into a city to mine resources and project power against its rivals in Frannerre. During the reign of the Shiysil Empire, Hazak was once one of the most important cities in Touli. Now its a heavily fortified city that drains the region for ores to feed an economy struggling to compete with its neighbors.
