Galra Imperial SenateThe last vestige of the First Galran Republic, the Senate is merely a proxy between the common man and the religious oligarchs who rule the country. The Senate was kept legitimizing the Imperial State's victory in the Galra Civil war (1810-1820) but now is full of corrupt wealthy men of industry who pass along laws with no opposition to deepen the Church and the military's hold on the country.

Major Cities ColumbiaThe capital of the Galra Imperial State. Columbia was built from the ground up in 1812 to begin a new era where the church took over control of the state. Columbia houses the wealthiest people in the Imperium, the Autarch and Imperial Senate. The city is detailed with several lavish monuments and statues of past prophets, religious icons from Ux Voshoz and is one of the most advanced cities in Ouhiri in terms of infrastructure. Columbia is massive in scope as one of the largest cities on the continent, millions live within the capital and most of the wealthy class live here to be close to the prophets and heads of Galran church. Those who cannot afford to live in the capital are 'migrated' out to other locations to keep the city pure from 'sin' (being poor). Columbia with a statue of Applegate in one of the squares WellingtonA bright and wealthy city in Eastern Galra, Wellington is the main city of continental trade and where the major Galran railway hub is located. The Grand Station distributes passengers and cargo throughout the entire Imperial State with ease. Wellington is also home to various major military facilities that support the Eastern armies of Galra. Wellington Grand Station CharchesterGalra's largest Northern City, Charchester is a flourishing metropolis and a key major city in Northern Galra, the city is home to the Galran military academy. ParsonWhile Galra industry is across the Imperial State, Parson is a major factory city located in Central Galra. The City is constantly cloaked in pollution as staol burning factories pump out several materials and goods. DecaturLocated in Western Galra near the coast, Decatur is a cesspit where the lower class who cannot move up in Imperial society are sent or remain. Decatur has little industry and is only valued in grabbing desperate souls to join the Imperial Army or work in the Touli colony. The city is one of very few destitute locations in the Imperial State but given how often Inquisitors patrol the streets quelling angered voices or even questioning ones it will remain as such. KellerLocated in the Deep Southern desert, Keller was established to harvest oil and ore. It is now a major military location for the Southern Army, and is used to project Galra power into the South. Citizens who migrate here come only for the military assignment or to work the oil/ore fields as the warm weather is unappealing for alot of Galra. The city of Keller was built into the ruins of a long dead civilization when Galra conquered this region Dodge CityLocated in the Southeastern desert, Dodge city is a major trade hub and rail hub built to directly compete with Nevarra and undermine its position as a trade center. In the last century Dodge City has become a wealthy and important settlement for Galra as well as an important military support for their Southeastern borders. JasperA major port city in Western Galra, Jasper is home to the Galran Naval Academy as well and where most of the Imperial Navy is constructed. Out of all the port cities along Western Galra Jasper is the largest and most well-fortified, it is considered essential to the Imperial government's imperialist ambitions in the shawbalt and Touli. Gor AtlackThe largest city in the Agrarian State, Gor Atlack is home to the catfish people the Silurifos who grow most of the Imperial State's food. The city itself is rather small and only really inhabited by the Silurifos, most Galran humans view the city to be extremely backwards and undesirable to live in. Aside from being the main city of the Silurifos it also houses the Galran port of Trinity which commands the Northern Navy and produces Galran warships.

The Galran civil war 1798-1820
If there’s one conflict that ouhiri ignored and shouldn’t have, it’s the Galran civil war. A brutal conflict fought between Galran Republicans and the Galran Revivalist forces. Republicans attempted to retain the Galran republic which had controlled the country since it gained independence from UKUG in the 1660s, while the Revivalists fought to install a church directed government in accordance to Galran Ux Voshoz.
(Background)
Following the defeat given to them by UKUG in the Gaelic-Galran war 1744-47, Galra had been in steady decline. The republic struggled to expand its influence and the senate was now divided between reformist and conservative parties. Meanwhile a grassroots religious movement called Galran Ux Voshoz began spreading quickly across Galra. It was based on the tenements of Ux Voshoz but changed three things; Galrans were the chosen people of god, Galra was now a holy land, the old Ux Voshoz religion was to be considered heresy and no longer needed.
By 1767, the religious group was so powerful it began to influence local politics and infiltrate the senate. The senate was now divided between religious conservatives and whoever remained, passing laws that walked back civil liberties for women, non humans and other religious groups were put on the senate floor. 1780 the religious conservatives narrowly lost the presidential election and organized riots and stormed the senate building forcing the senate to flee. The Galran presidency declared a state of emergency and that the religious group directly threatened the democratic process of the republic.
1785, religious leaders demanded the government pass laws that outlawed atheism and directly banned the expansion of other religions. When it was refused these religious leaders formed the Galran Revivalist Movement which would be focused on seizing control of the government. Following an especially tense election campaign the republicans won by 2 votes and the revivalists accused them of stealing the election. Dominick Simmons the leader of the Galran church stated democracy as an evil and began raising a “holy” army.
The republicans alarmed began raising troops at the literal armed rebellion forming in its borders but some members of the military defected in accordance to their religious beliefs. The point of no return came in 1795 when religious rioters burning the city of Wellington were shot by Galran soldiers and used to justify killing civilians who the church believed to be atheists. The massacre of Decatur by the Galran revivalist forced the republicans to negotiate, the nation was on the verge of outright collapse and civil war. Simmons refused to negotiate now demanding the government capitulate. In a desperate attempt, Galra reached out for aid but was refused following years of aggression made previously. In 1798 revivalist marched their army north to seize the capital and forced the Republicans to defend it. The war had begun.
Early war (1798-1810)
The early war saw battle lines drawn, The Republicans began early draft procedures and placed propaganda campaigns on the fact that the revivalists literally wanted to end democracy. Many atheist and orthodox Ux Voshoz Galrans filled the ranks of the Republicans as the war was literally a war for survival. Revivalist controlled most of the south and East of Galra and were the larger force.
The siege of Wellington was a prolonged struggle for the capital as the battlefront was right at the outskirts of the city. Republicans struck a series of early victories against revivalist but were slowly being overrun.
In 1804 the battle of Decatur was a Pyrrhic victory for the Republic shutting down naval access to the rebels. Then bloody battle however became a long term defeat for the Republic as the Galran navy defected to the revivalist and blockaded republic ports.
Republicans resorted to trench warfare to stall losing territory but were looking at a grim scenario. They launched what would be their last offensive campaign in 1808 successfully pushing revivalists. Galra once again reached out to get international support but was promptly dismissed.
Doomed effort (1810-1815)
Revivalist leader Simmons ordered an all out assault against what he deemed sinners. Sabotage and rigged explosions behind republic lines by Galran citizens loyal to the revivalist crippled republic defenses as the Revivalist surged across the front.
Republic forces threw everything they had at the onslaught but they were losing ground steadily. By 1813 the capital was under direct attack, the president fled the capital to the western coastal region. As Wellington fell, thousands of civilians fled from the battle and the revivalist struck a mortal blow to the republic.
The fall of the republic (1815-1820)
Things rapidly collapsed after Wellington fell, republic forces retreated in mass abandoning large swaths of the country as more and more defections left the republic with little. Simmons began orders to execute the remaining Republicans stating an example must be made to lord god. Facing no option but death, the Republican forces fought a war of survival.
Facing a lost war, Galra’s last president focused on getting the people the revivalist would kill out of the country. These being atheist, orthodox Ux Voshoz, non humans and anyone else not in accordance to the revivalist. The battle of Gor Atlack was the last victory the republic would strike against the revivalist buying time to get 30,000 citizens out of the country. The biggest supporters of the republic came from the agricultural state of Gor Atlack and it’s non human population, facing a prolonged war and possibly damaging the very fertile ground needed to feed Galra, Simmons negotiated for its surrender.
In exchange for letting the Silurifos race survive, the Galran president surrendered himself and he was publicly tortured and executed. Republican remnants fled to Touli and the revivalist finally seized control, they formed the imperial state in 1820 and Dominik Simmons became the first Autarch and prophet of the Imperial state
