Duties of the Clans
Tolvaj: Trade and Industry
Gruvar: Raw Resources and Army
Meiyo: Exotic Goods and Navy
Political Entities of Mil'Nor
Led by Nils Tolvaj publicly, Clan Tolvaj seeks to strength the centralization of the nation and do away with the divisions between the Clans. This movement has been seemingly headed by the High Chief, although widespread governmental change has been lacking. In order for sweeping reforms to truly be able to be punched through, flesh blood is required in the clan. The people overall support Clan Tolvaj is in majority, the renown of Nil Tolvaj being the main source of this support. However, with no stated heir and the age of the current High Chief starting to reach it's limits, crisis can be seen on the horizon by any who look. On matters of foreign import, current thought on the matter is to lead an amicable relationship with the rest of the world, Tolvaj seeing little gain in any commitment to foreign wars.
Clan Meiyo
Fully commited to defending their way of life, Clan Meiyo stands as both the most isolationist and extreme in their views among the Clans. Talamore, leader of Meiyo, has pushed for new laws to be enacted that limit the lower classes while repealing those that would "cause society to lose their faith". Meiyo wants nothing more then to resume life as they have for the past four hundred plus years, and will do whatever they can to achieve this goal. The hardened grip that Meiyo seeks around its people has led some extremist views to flourish within the corners of the clan, with some calls for direct control over the three Clans to be taken to allow this control.
Clan Gruvar
Clan Gruvar stands as a tie breaker between the ambitions of those within Clan Tolvaj, and the stubbornness of Clan Meiyo to adhere to the old ways. Gruvar if nothing else, seeks the status quo to continue. Having been the backbone to the material wealth of the Clans, war between the clans has always brought great strife to Gruvar. Chief Dravos has pushed for a particular idea when it comes to both internal and external threats. Following the idea of "A sword that never needs to be unsheathed will never grow dull", Gruvar seeks the military buildup of the nation to allow it the ability to defend itself from all invaders. That said, when war has been fought, Gruvar has always been the fastest to mobilize troops, as each Clanmate is expected to both be able to defend himself and his Clan in times of crisis
The Great Elders
A collection of Elenrian Nobles who fled the Empire during the fall, this small group of nobles has been taken in and given special status within the Clans. Permanently residing in New Raltera, they reside within Mil'Nor society as keepers of knowledge, often times being visited by nobles and the Chiefs themselves on matters of both state and personal. Although much of their wealth was lost during the fall, what they managed to keep with them bought their way into Mil'Nor nobility, along with the perks given to those considered upper class. The Views of the Great Elders typically fall into isolationist types, although when it comes to society their views can often be varied by own personal experience.
Workers for an Free Mil'Nor
Barely a speck on the political scale and holding no backing from the aristocracy, the WEM exists on the frontiers and workshops of Mil'Nor society. Members can range from Gruvar gold miners, to Meiyo fishermen and silk weavers, to Tolvaj clerks and workmen. Stuck to operating within local cells due to travel restraints, it would take the revolutionizing of travel across the snowy dunes of Mil'Nor and allowing easy flow of people and ideas for the WEM to have any real working political sway. The ideas held within the WEM are a mess due to the distance between cells, with some groups calling for a more democratic form of government while others seek to undo the very systems that Mil'Nor was founded on.
