Koi was an interesting place. Depending on how you defined it, it was the most powerful country in the world, and it was certainly the most important. Staol was the lifeblood of the modern world, and that fact wasn't lost on Franerre despite the countries being on the opposite sides of the planet. Despite the country being most well known for their Staol, they also exported a large amount of silks, which was the main focus of Franerre at this particular time. A telegram was sent to Franerre's 'embassy,' if that was what you chose to call the smaller building attached to the Lusatian embassy, relaying the need to the ambassador in country, one Constantin Serafin. The following letter would be sent to Koi's Foreign Ministry
To the Esteemed Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Koi,
Franerre wishes to import industrial quantities of silk for use in our textile factories and are willing to offer silver or potentially other materials in exchange. We have representatives in country at our embassy prepared to meet with whoever the correct authority for such a deal is.
May this letter find you swiftly, Lehran de Angelis, Director of the Franerri Foreign Affairs Administration

The telegram would find itself on the desk of one Madi Kalla, a man of the lower diplomatic corp. He'd look at the message, reading and rereading it for a moment before messaging the MiniPlenty and the MiniTrade. MiniPlenty would respond, unable to do anything without information, and so Madi and an advisor from MiniTrade, Helve Aavik, issued a notice to the Franerri embassy.
Franerri Embassy Detachment to the Republic of Koi,
Please meet us at the Ministry of Trade at Venbrivik Street 744 in Conference Room 128. Please bring all required documents, including desired amounts.
Signed, Madi Kalla, Ministry of Friends Helve Aavik, Ministry of Trade

Constantin Serafin didn't think he'd ever get used to the streets of Koi. The ambassador had been assigned to Koi for five months, and there was just so much difference. The change in development was to be expected, given that Koi's Staol was the axis by which the world turned. The fact that everyone wasn't Franerri, wasn't even human, made the adjustment difficult, but you didn't get to be in the Foreign Affairs Administration without being able to adapt. He could never seem to quite place what it was, but it didn't matter; Constantin had a job to do, and that job found Constantin in Conference Room 128 at Venbrivik Street 744, briefcase of documents in hand ready to present to the Koians.

Constantin would be guided through the building, his shoes and his guide's boots clacking against the polished marble flooring the whole way until they got to the room. Inside, two Koians and a human would be sitting with a few papers strewn across the table. The guide would motion for them to take a seat before closing the door behind them.
One of the Koians would motion to the seat across from the three. "Mr. Serafin, please have a seat." He'd pull up one paper from the mess. "Wish to import industrial quantities of silk for use in your textile factories, yes?" He'd look back at Constantin. "How much is 'industrial quantities'?"

"Two thousand tons on a recurring order seasonally, ideally," Constantin answered, "Franerre's willing to offer 1,750 tons of silver in exchange - above market rates according to our research, but that should provide a nice buffer for any changes in the price of either commodity as well as leave room for the cost of shipping all the way from Koi to Franerre and back."
