The Arsenal of Democracy and the Jewel of the North Diplomacy Thread
The Federal Republic of Amali and the Republic of Ida Koi
Naomi Jekyll would be standing with the rest of the embassy staff as the national anthem plays, the midday sun burning brightly overhead as the group is out on the embassy grounds. As the anthem would finally come to an end, the staff would shuffle back inside to continue their previous work. Naomi would stride her way to the front desk, speaking with the receptionist. They'd hand her a stack of papers for the Chunnel, detailing its current status. She'd nod, heading back to her office.
Once in, she'd plop the stack down on her desk, looking it over for a moment before grabbing the phone on her desk. "This is Diplomat Jekyll. Can someone call up the foreign relations department?" ... "Yes, we have the status report and we're ready to show it." ... "Thank you." She'd hang up, going back to the stack and figuring she should read some of it before they arrive.

With the pressing urgency of the Chunnel, Vice President Fernando Gaona would be arriving to the Koian embassy in a motorcade. While the Vice President is not the chief diplomat between Amali and Ida Koi, this project concerns the greater federal government. This line is vital for a number of reasons, most notably reducing the cost of Staol importing. While the nation is growing its sea and air power, it still comes at a fair cost until such a time that they could prove both to be useful...
With the arrival of the federal motorcade to the Koain embassy, the Vice President's arrival would be quickly announced as he was accompanied by the Presidential Guard in their gray-blue uniforms, starkly different from the standard tan, beige, or green uniforms of most army personnel in the Amalian army.

The embassy staff would salute the Vice President as he enters the grounds and soon through the doors. The lobby staff would lead the group further into the embassy, bringing them to a conference room. Naomi would be just finishing her setup of the documents, paperwork, and otherwise for the tunnel.
"Good evening, Vice President Gaona." She'd bow to him as he enters and the guards close the doors behind him. "I hope we didn't interrupt anything important you were attending to." She'd extend a hand to shake his before motioning for him to take a seat. "We got a lot to cover, so I hope you've got at least an hour to spare."
