La Repubblica Federale di Amali
Per L'Illuminazione di Tutti
Overview
Amali is a federal, constitutional representative republic. The executive office officiates laws, the legislative offices determine whether laws pass or fail, and the Supreme Court of the People determines if the laws are valid and constitutional and uphold justice across the nation. The people vote on who enters the House of the People and the House of the States, having changed its purpose in the 1850's, is now made up of seats that adjust to the people's voting distribution. The Lower House is made up of 370 representatives with the Upper House being made up of 100 members. Every ten years, on the change of the decade, the States and Congress convene to discuss potentially changing the numbers of Representatives in Congress. However, there has been no move to expand Congress within the past fifty years.

Executive Branch
The Executive Branch is comprised of the President and Vice President of Amali and their cabinet. The President is directly elected by the people of Amali, with the Vice President selected by the President during their campaigning. The Cabinet is initially inherited from the previous administration, but the President may remove and nominate in people who they believe will better serve the People.
The Executive Branch can propose laws to Congress, and typically lead a coalition government in Congress. The primary function of the Executive Branch is to represent the People of Amali on the world stage.
Judicial Branch
The Judicial Branch is comprised of eleven judges, nominated by anyone and confirmed by a super majority vote by Congress. The process is long to confirm a judge, and the appointment is until the judge is no longer fit for service. Judges can be removed by Congressional vote by a vote of 71% or greater votes, or removed immediately if they are found to be in declining health.

Legislative Branch
The Legislative Branch is comprised of 470 members of both the Upper House (officially, the House of the States; unofficially, The Senate) and the Lower House (officially, the House of the People; unofficially, The Parliament). Jointly, they are referred to as Congress. The Parliament is a direct measurement of people's votes and reflects that. The Senate, on the other hand, is adjusted to allow for representation based on percentages. If a party amasses 1% of the vote nationally, then they receive 3 seats in the Senate.

Election Process
All offices, at the State and Federal level, are on a ranked ballot. That is, voters rank the runners that they want first. Then, when the voting comes, each first round vote is tallied and the lowest one removed. Those votes are then recounted with their second pick, and the process continues until there is a clear victor. Historically, Amalian elections have not fallen below 65% voter turnout.

The People can call for a vote of removal against their state's representatives and the President. In order to remove the Representatives of the state, a simple majority is required with an attendance of 55% or more of the voting age population. If the President is to be removed, it requires a simple majority with 51% or more of the voting age population, nation wide, turning out for the vote.
