The Bear's Arms Outstretched [Mil'Nor-Pomazanniki]

As far as every bank and company within Pomazanniki were concerned, the Vok's only backing was the dust that rested in the halls of the Starfort. The little gold that was left after Tsar Romanov's lavish feasts and boastful parades was stolen by his forces as they fled, and nearly burned, the White Palace. Mines litter the mountainside and countryside, lined with gold, buried deep, but the fledgling republic would sink the Gaelic isles before it could reach so deep. Amali offered assistance, but one cannot build a nation from near scratch while managing their own.

So, the Pomaz people suffered. Thirteen years of economic torment as the last scraps of gold were scraped from the cups of the nobles. With the Great Call Act going into place, Pomaz had let out a cry for help, an offer for action. Gold for guns, gold for food, gold for whatever it would take for the Pomaz people to lift themselves out of the trench that they were stuck inside of. They couldn't wait any longer, however, and behind closed doors, a search began. A nation, rich in gold, willing to sell. The answer was simple in hindsight, close in proximity, friendly to the many allies of Pomazanniki, and most of all, willing & ready to trade; Mil'Nor.

Using contacts within Kumosenkan, a sponsored courier ship was sent to Mil'Nor, a small liner carrying various gifts, a courier and with them, a letter;

TO THE ESTEEMED CLANS OF MIL'NOR,

Greetings, from the Old World. We hope this letter reaches you in good time, and good health. I am Maij of Foreign Relations Semyon Kuzmin, and I represent the Free Republic of Pomazanniki. As you may understand, and as such I will not bore you with the details, Pomazanniki is short on nearly everything, bar it's food, guns and spirit. What we need above all is friends, glory and gold, of which you can provide all three. With this letter is an attache, until I can personally visit your nation, who is more than happy and willing to discuss how the relationship between our nations can grow.

The Courier had been shown with utmost haste to Castle Tolvaj for meeting with the Deacon. Pomazanniki interest was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one, with the Courier being escorted by the Honor Guard of the Republic. Being shown into the offices of the Deacon, they would be offered a seat by Kathrine while the woman looked over some reports.
"I bid you welcome to our lands, messenger of the Pomazanniki. To what pleasure do we have to offer the Bear?"

The courier followed warmly with a smile. "The pleasure is all ours, believe me." They said, offering the letter to Kathrine. "On Pomazanniki's behalf, we believe there is much that can be done between our nations. Pomazanniki has been in the gutter of poverty for over a decade now, and the few resources we have left available to us would be quite valuable to Mil'Nor. Not to mention our common ally, Kumosenkan."

The Deacon opened the offered letter, listening to the courier speak as she scanned over the contents of the missive. As she finished it, she'd place the letter down on her desk as she regarded the Courier, leaning back into her chair as she did so.

"I would be happy to open our vaults of wealth to aid your people. As it would happen to be, we are looking to overhaul the military of Valdera. With the loss of the High Chief and the ongoing war in the UST, we must now more then ever have the strength to defend ourselves an arms agreement of guns for gold would be an easy thing for the Council to agree on."

"Guns are certainly within our realm; if I am not mistaken, we boast one of the largest arms production industries on the planet." The courier responded. "Such a deal would be greatly appreciated; although, we would like to come to the offer on vehicles, as well. We are quite proficient in our automobile and armored vehicle production."

[Kira]

"A welcome offering. We require everything from firearms to vehicles and more. We are looking for a starting supply of at least a hundred thousand units of firearms, along with motorized vehicles for logistical support.. I must ask however, do you have any artillery equipment or aeroplanes on offer? We can offer more then just gold if needed" To say Kathrine looked pleased was an understatement, the woman gesturing to one of the servants to offer drinks as the they discussed matters.

The courier took a moment before responding. "I am no expert on our production, but I believe we could fulfill your order of firearms, even if it was doubled. Artillery is well within our capabilities, we have ten-thousands in stockpiles alone. As for aeroplanes, we have been unable to advance much in that sector since the Rise of the Republic- our focus has been on namely armoured vehicles." The courier took another moment. "However, I believe, as of recent, the ADB has been given subsidies to research into newer plane designs. I am in no place to put negotiations, but I believe suggesting a joint think-tank between our nations, perhaps using the design bureau as a catalyst, is within my authority."

"As for motorized vehicles, the Great Call has begun the expansion of our motorization. I'm sure we'd be more than happy to sell you some of our newest models." The courier took one last moment. "And for support equipment, the figures do not change from firearms, we have more than enough in our stockpiles."

[Kira]

"We would be happy to join in the establishment of a mutual design operation for planes. Beyond that, if you can truly fulfill the order, full supply would be bought for our forces. Between our deals with the Kumo already, a friendship between our two people can only bear ripe fruit to harvest. We can begin the drafting of a treaty right now,  unless there were other matters you wished discussed."

"While I imagine Semyon would prefer to sign the document himself, that can come at a later stage. I'd be more than happy to begin drafting it now." The courier responded. "To review, we wish to trade various armaments, including small arms, artillery and trucks, we seek to establish a joint-design think tank between our nations, and all of the payments are to be made with gold."

"This sounds agreeable to me. We can get it finished on our end during your stay here, and once ready the treaty can be sent with your return for final approval and signing. By the time the first convoys arrive, we'll have the agreed amount of gold ready for their trip home."

After about two hours of discussion and drafting, the courier was sent back to Pomazanniki, and more specifically, the Free City of Snoax Babby, along with a Mil'Nor ambassador to ratify the treaty in an official capacity. Upon their arrival, Semyon and Yaromir greeted them personally, before signing the treaty. The Mil'Nor ambassador was then taken to the Sarakhov Starfort by train, before being introduced to the new Mil'Nor embassy.
