Chaos flooded Colonial command when Field Marshal Derada finally entered his command HQ in Sepedia. "Get me a report, what's going!?" he barked across the room as telegraph and phone operators tried to make sense of what was going on. Several hours ago massive alerts broke across the defense grid as phone calls and telegrams poured in via military lines. After a few more minutes Derada learned the horror now pressed onto him, Galra had invaded and his forward defenses were shattered. "Get the Governor in here now, wake him up!" he felt his blood turn hot, it was something he was told to expect one day, a war to Zedonia. But if the reports were true the entire Western grid was down and the enemy would be on Og in mere days. " We've lost contact with the 42nd rifle battalion and 44th" chimed in one comms officer trying to make sense of it all, "What about the rest of the 9th Colonial?", the officer shook his head. "No word, General Briggs is falling the 288th Colonial to Og. Same with Wims, the 774th and 84th Colonial are all pulling Eastward, this force is moving fast sir." "How fast?" "Faster than we can report on, they're as deep as Frunbottom and Torbee Shire." The room fell silent, that was almost 200 square miles. "Get our birds in the air, I want eyes not guesses. Contact Air Marshall Johnson, tell her we need fighters in the air, bombers to support the retreat. Tell...are you still in contact officer?" "Yes sir" "Tell our Western forces battle plan Cintra, Og to Jamestown is our fall back. Prepare all Eastern deployments to mobilize and head West. I want the Colonial 34th and my own detachment ready in 24 hours." "Sir that might not be-" "24 hours" The Zedonian Colonial military began mobilizing East of Og, preparing for the reaction. Reinforcements in Cricon were being mobilized as word from the homeland still hadn't arrived. For now Derada needed to prepare for the next hit, 20 light biplanes Siskin FC-21s would be sent to located forward Galran positions and avoid engagement. Their mission was to map as much as possible their advancement and location, the Gaelics had little idea how much had crossed the border. Starwolf fighters entered the skies over Og, their mission was to secure air supremacy. Every air squadron in Zedonia now had a mission to fulfill after Air Marshal Johnson called in all available pilots. She even ordered civilian pilots and planes to be seized to ship supplies and troops. It would take some days but Zedonia would scrounge up 60,000 motorized infantry units, 200 supply trucks, 60 armored cars, 50 tankettes, 10 landships, 60 light tanks, 80,000 standard infantry, 50,000 heavy infantry, 5,000 special infantry and 2,000 conscripts in the early days of emergency military conscription. Governor Jor Wallace declared a state of emergency and ordered communication to the UKUG islands paramount. As well as keeping the channel between Zedonia and Cricon open. Cricon Governor, Adam Hillsworth followed suit ordered the bulk of the Colonial fleet to protect the channel and begin the mobilization of Criconian Colonial forces. Cricon had a much larger military force due to the threat of war with Kumosenkan but this force would now be prepared to ship over to Zedonia to fight. For now, all that could be done was prepare for the next step. But several thousand Gaelic soldiers were still fighting in the West, being encircled, and fighting a losing fight. ------ The 774th "Canons!" shouted a soldier as enemy artillery crashed nearby destroying the temple being used for cover sending several Royal Army soldiers running for cover as gunfire ripped through the town of Frunbottom. Frunbottom was a small Gaelic town near the Zedonian border, maybe 14,000 people lived here supporting farms that fed the border defenses. Now it was an active warzone, the 774th was a force of 20,000 standard infantry, 10,000 heavy infantry, 10 light tanks, 100 field guns, 5 armored cars and 100 mortars. They were assigned to guard the border and were supported by the 84th and military units near Og and Jamestown. Today they were alone. "Charles! Where's our fuckin artillery support!?" shouted General Sullivan, he shouted over the sounds of artillery and aerial bombardments striking all around. "They're firing sir but there's too many of them, our Northern flank is collapsing." "Sir the Southern wing is folding, our fire teams are being pushed!" Sullivan knew he was beaten, his men were fighting fiercely but if they stayed they would be- "Sir! our rear is reporting enemy forces!" "Dammit" he thought, "I had more time." he muttered. But he didn't Galra was swiftly moving through his army and he was being overwhelmed. "We hold the town, send our tanks rear to break a line and start moving our lads out East spread em if you have to, get us out of this damn meatgrinder!" Back in the town it was hell, UKUG soldiers took heavy losses against the sheer firepower leveled against them but refused to budge. "Send them to hell and damnation!" yelled on soldier firing his McCarron Model 4. Heavy troops had more success using Vicker machine guns but Galran armor made it damn near impossible to hold. "The tanks are leaving! The fuck are they going!?" one soldier yelled, "Can it and fire your gun" shouted another. A few moments and even despite the valiant effort of these men it was too much, Galran forces kept coming in and with more armored support. "Fall in laddies! Fall in!" to General Sullivan's dismay the center could not hold anymore. "Sir your orders!?", Sullivan rubbed his brow now covered sweat from stress, "Full retreat East". The 774th began moving Eastward, some units would act to cover the retreat knowing full and well they could die or get surrounded by the Galrans who had shown no quarter, but someone had to get out and get East. The 774th began their painful withdrawal leaving behind Frunbottom a devastated wreck. Gaelic infantry fighting a losing battle in the opening of the war. ---- Navy The Zedonian arm of the Colonial fleet received word of ports being bombed and losing 2 frigates in the opening assault. They would follow orders to retain control of the Vanderlind channel, acting in their stead to respond was assigned task force Relta. Relta consisted of 5 ironclad battleships, 10 frigates, 5 corvettes and the lone battlecruiser in Zedonia's fleet. Supporting them were 20 biplane torpedo bombers that flew ahead of the attacking task force seeking to engage the encroaching Galrans.

"We stop them here, between Og and Jamestown, I want elements from the Criconian Royal Colonial army and Zedonian Colonial army to form a front here and blunt the Galran offensive. Air power is our strength and per his majesty's orders we are order all factories in the east to ship us fighter craft asap. Our main strategy is use heavy artillery until our tanks can hit the lines. If Og or Jamestown falls you are to destroy the rail lines heading East. The Colonial navy is preparing an ambush point here between the Og coastline and the Tanzanian islands, if they send Naval support we smash em."
Criconian reinforcements had arrived in mass, using rail that was now under the jurisdiction of the Colonial military to reach Jamestown and Og. A 300 mile zone of control would be established between the two cities, trenches and fall lines were ordered to be dug as the Gaelic military braced itself for further incursions into Zedonia.

Galra's assault on Zedonia was swift and dangerous. Engineer companies were forced to clear trees and brush to allow for clear routes into Northern Zedonia. The lack of roads and rails made supply lines strained. But once in Zedonia, they Galrans took full advantage of the infrastructure, some transport ships delivering trains through the towns of Torbee Shire and Frunbottom to aid in their logistics. Some engineering companies even began laying crude rail lines from Penrith, Wochourhiel to Torbee Shire, Zedonia.
In the North, Galran troops overran the city of Baile an Bhearrtha and its suburbs. Casualties mounted for both sides with the fighting. But the thousands of troops would soon amass outside Baile and begin their march towards Og. Foot Infantry would fan out into the prairies while mobilized infantry would make its way down the roads with landships and armored cars. The foot infantry would attack any small town they came across, shooting anyone who dared resist. Within the greater prairie between Og and Jamestown, only foot soldiers accompanied by a few tankettes and light tanks would march through the wide open plains, passing through Gaelic homesteads and stealing crops as they move.
As the mobile units closed in on Og, the units would break and move towards the Northern town of Bothar and the Southern town of Lochthir. There, the army would swarm the towns, trying to overrun the fortifications so they could have bases to sit while they prepare their assault on Og.
Down at Jamestown, units would move in from both the main Zedonian front while others joined in from crossing through Northern Mushidabad. The Galran forces would immediately get bogged down by the sudden assault of Gaelic bombers launched from Jamestown. The units would continue to move forward, though much slower, as engineer corps would begin digging defenses to fall back to as the troops moved closer to the isolated city. But with the Gaelic planes overhead, the defenses at Jamestown were alerted to their coming presence, allowing them to begin barraging the incoming army with artillery.

Jamestown
Total force
55,000 Standard infantry 20,000 Heavy infantry
350 field guns 250 mortars 1000 light motorized infantry
10 landships 30 light tanks 20 tankettes
20 light biplanes Faoilin fighters 20 heavy biplanes Star Wolf 10 bomber biplanes
"OPEN FIRE!"
A chorus of death began its symphony as it rained death on the approaching Galran forces, Gaelic air power had alerted Jamestown to their arrival allowing for the defenders to properly prepare. General Tarkoti Mumbarra a Xaspeshi-Gaelic would be commanding the defense against the oncoming Galrans. The Ulster-Gaels filed into the trenches and sandbagged defenses around the city and civilians were ushered into bunkers and onto trains to take them East to Baile Dorcha. Gaelic Badger tanks would get their first taste of active combat, "You will not give up your ground! You will defend against this menace and you will do so with pride! Our Empire has stood for hundreds of years and shall not fall to these damn praying dogs! SEND THEM TO THEIR GOD!" General Mumbarra roused his men with ease, he had the most diverse military force in the UKUG with several Xaspeshi ranked in with Colonial Gaelics.
The battle line stretched North with 1000 motorized infantry and 10 landships moving to force the Galrans out in the open prairie of Zedonia. Mumbarra had one goal, hold out til reinforcements from Cricon arrive.
Og
40,000 Standard infantry 30,000 heavy infantry 3,000 Special infantry (Stormtroopers) 2,000 special infantry (Marines)
400 field guns 800 mortars
30,000 motorized light infantry 8,000 standard motorized infantry 90 tankettes 120 light tanks 30 landships 150 armored cars
20 light biplane (Faolin) 25 heavy biplane (Star Wolf) 20 bomber biplane
With Gaelic towns being overrun quickly General Richard O'Driscoll and Field Marshall Derada would command the defenses of Northern Zedonia. Orders were if Og was to fall that the last train leaving would destroy the main rail line heading East to prevent the enemy access to the rail network.
Gaelic fighters would fly to report enemy locations and use biplane bombers to hit the Galrans advancing. The ruthless invaders forced the Gaelic to abandon their smaller settlements and set up large defenses at Og, trenches and sandbag defenses were ordered up with most of Zedonia's tank corp being deployed into the city to defend it. After scout fighters reported the enemy approaches, artillery would zero in and open fire on the Galrans. Og's best defense was the vast open fields between it and the Galrans, once the Galrans crossed out into the open field they were utterly exposed to Gaelic artillery fire and aerial attacks. Galrans would be consistently harassed as they entered this field forcing them to either attempt to go further South into more open country and risk burning resources and stretching their supply lines or force an open assault. The longer they waited, the sooner Cricon reinforcements would arrive to level the playing field.

"All I ever hear now, are the sounds of Black thunder"
-Private Leon McGavin
Jamestown defense Spring 1935
Jamestown The crown jewel of Gaelic colonization was mired in damaged buildings, craters, pillars of smoke and miles and miles of trenches full of Gaelic and Xaspesh defenders fighting across the open fields of Zedonia. Galra had mercilessly assaulted it since the winter year prior. The deadlock between the two sides resulted in a type of warfare no one on Ouhiri was familiar with. Non stop artillery strikes on both sides, machine guns, repeating rifles, tanks, armored vehicles and aircraft was something not even the most imaginative writer among the population of the city could think of. Fighting went beyond mere trenches as infantry groups pushed back and forth. Gaelic and Galran armor met in brutal fashion like metal titans tearing each other apart before one finally fell. But all of that paled in comparison to the sheer amount of death and destruction these poor men had to experience on the ground. The 771st was launching a full assault on the South to break Galran slow advances in their attempt to encircle the city, the 2,000 man battalion moved at the sound of their commanders whistle and screamed at the doom they charged at, enemy machine gun fire and artillery shredded dozens if not hundreds in mere seconds of popping up. Grown men reduced to whimpering crying shells of who they once were, another screaming in pure agony and his leg being blown off, one having his entire head blown away. All while the more battle hardened veterans yelled "MOVE ON MOVE ON LADS!" The intense firefight came quickly between Galran infantrymen and some machine gunners attempting to break off the assault. "Grenade!" called out one officer, and flung were several small orb like grenades making short work of the machine gunner. "Push them back, Push them the fuck back!" called the officer as he fired rounds from his .45 revolver. McGavin winced at the sounds of metal objects flying overhead preceding the rocking thunder of artillery explosions, he fired from his Model 4 McCarron killing any Galrans foolish enough to be out in the open. The 771st reached Galran lines where the sounds of small arm fire and human agony drowned the internalized sanity anyone would have. The sound of angry boilers and metal creaking from behind activated an automated response from McGavin and his fellow infantrymen to move out of the way as a Gaelic landship pressed ahead, its multiheaded machine guns sticking out of the giant metal beast cutting down dozens of Galrans right before a field gun ruptured it killing the tank in its place, another landship to McGavin's left pressed ahead as McGavin struggled to pull himself up from the mud from a recent Spring day rain. "Get in it lads!" the Gaelics dropped into the Galran trenches killing anyone alive, McGavin ran around a corner meeting a stunned Galran and shoving his bayonet into him screaming, McGavin let his fear and rage mix with a sickening sense of accomplishment as the Galran coughed and gurgled blood. "Kill em all! Kill em Kill em Kill em!" screamed the commander. Several pops and sickly sounds of meat being punctured later left the Galran position in the hands of the Royal Army. "The day is done then." Said one private, "Set up the Machine gun facing due West and-" "THEY COMIN BACK!" The Gaelics raced to the other edge of the line seeing waves of Galrans and armor coming their way, the Battalion commander ordered the radioman who was hulking about in a massive box on his back to relay artillery immediately. "Call it in now danger close, cut the choir fucks off!" Rapid gunfire was exchanged between both sides, McGavin cut down rabid zealots who charged into the open for their god and country as they shouted at him firing from the dirt. After a few minutes the sound of whistling rounds overhead brought down explosive fury that decimated the Galran counter assault. McGavin watched as entire human beings were turned into shredded meat, he felt tired and empty, several months of this had made him see utter horrors beyond his comprehension. "Alright lads, we got it, objective Apple is ours. Set up guns, send runners back to tell em we need supplies asap. Meddie tend to the wounded." Jamestown had held out and regained some ground, the arrival of reinforcements from Cricon finally arrived via rail. Over 200,000 fresh troops from the island with tankettes and armored cars, boxcars full of much needed supplies from the Eastcoast brought much needed relief and galvanized the defense line. Whatever Galra tried to pull, it had lost most of its momentum in the Spring. The arrival of Cricon reinforcements also brought in new Zedonian trained troops and the 11th Army from the South, 40,000 light motorized infantry, 5,000 motorized standard infantry and 50 new Badger light tanks. They were commanded by General Khambi Odessa, the honeybadger, he had zero intent of continuing the long slog that had plagued Jamestown for over a year. He was going to push Galra out of Zedonia. Jamestown in utter ruins after over a year of fighting --- Og The city was a hellscape as Gaelic forces mounted a desperate defense, despite Galran numerical supremacy the Gaelic Colonial army had held well. The rolling hills facing the West were pockmarked with artillery craters and lined with dug in trenches where Gaelic machine guns, riflemen and field guns fired at the advancing Galrans. The bulk of the two forces fighting the Eastern front met here, the lines stretching for miles and culminating in large scale fighting in the city of Og. Gaelic armor struggled against better designed and more advanced Galran armor but the fact the Gaelics had tanks still set the Galrans back, Field Marshall Derada had been staving off a massive Galran assault on the city since the winter of 1934, here in the final days of the 1935 spring it seemed Galra had finally been stopped thanks to the brutal sacrifices of the Colonial military. "I want our lads to take back the hills, we mount artillery up there and pound them from above. What's the word from Cricon?" he was ignoring the dust falling on his head, having taken a small pub in Eastern Og as his forward command post and Galran artillery rocked the city near daily. "They arrive in the morning, nearly 300,000 troops." "Excellent, I want these bastards pushed back West where they belong before the next winter sets in." Several aircraft flew overhead, likely looking for enemy fighters or bombers to engage, at the center of the city civilians who remained in the wartorn city were trying to aid the army in any way they could. Removing fallen rubble, help wounded soldiers to medical camps to even running messages across the city. Their home didn't even look like a proper city, more like a massive military base where every building was riddled with bullets in some way. At the front, Gaelic soldiers were preparing to push forward on Derada's orders, "We're taking the hills back! Get ready!" the infantrymen lined up, loading their rifles and fixing bayonets when several men with serious looks on their faces passed them to be the first to go over the top. Bagpipemen. These absolute mad lads would go ahead blaring Celtic music through their bagpipes to encourage the men and intimidate the enemy. "OVER THE TOP" the moment it was called the bagpipes sounded off going over followed by dozens of infantrymen. Enemy fire erupted tearing down hundreds of Gaelic soldiers. Their charge across open terrain that provided no cover was called no man's land, a death trap, the butchering of Gaelic soldiers continued forcing another retreat back to friendly lines. "Get back here lads! Get back here!" Called out the commander, "Dammit to hell and back, they're dug in deep". Og was set and fixed in place, Galra couldn't advance further without additional reinforcements or heavier armored units and the UKUG couldn't advance toward the Galran position without losing men they desperately couldn't afford to let go, it was a bitter stalemate. The Gaelic trenches near Og, the battle has become a brutal stalemate.

Og--- The order had been called down, Og was to be abandoned and her rail lines destroyed, Galra was breaching the front lines and was positioned to take the city. Despite the hard fought Gaelic's efforts the Galrans were effective in destroying their forward defenses and left the Gaelic little to no choice but to fall back to Baile Coilineacht. Og which was a fortress city in the North of Zedonia was left in ruins as hundreds of thousands of Gaelic troops began their wintery retreat East. This would leave Jamestown the most Western holdout of the Zedonian front. While the defeat would sting harshly, Baile Coilineacht would be safeguarded from naval attacks thanks to the Razmanian islands North of it having several costal batteries complimented by the ones near the city itself. Engineers had also dug out trenches, dugouts, makeshift fortification and prepared the city for the assault. It also meant unfortunately more refuges fleeing to Sepedia which faced a massive crisis dealing with the flood of fleeing civilians. Galra would take Og but face traps throughout the city as Gaelics left, mines, trip bombs and destroyed the rail lines heading East. Forcing Galra to use their motorized units to pursue their enemy. Jamestown--- General Odessa made his reputation cemented with what many often referred to as a mad man, he insisted on taking point against the Galrans in the defense of Jamestown with his forces repelling the Galrans and then counterattacking them in the brutal cold of Zedonia's winter. "Send them out of here! This is our home!" Odessa called out, his forces felt a double take on his demanding command. While citizens of the UKUG, they were native Xaspesh Zedonians, this was indeed their home and the Galrans were laying waste to everything West of their current position. Galran attacks on Gaelic lines in Jamestown simply could not materialize into much progress without losing a massive portion of their ground force. And unlike the Gaelic defenders who had trains coming in with supplies the Galrans had to ship everything through the pocket or Northern theater from their colony. Reaching Jamestown was a difficult task already, but the prolonged siege was failing profoundly and the defenders were now situated on good solid ground to hold out all winter. If Galra couldn't break through it would mean their supply lines would be the only reason they could keep a force here in Central Zedonia. They needed Xaspeshi to fall soon in order to restock and rotate troops but as long as that front held the assault on Jamestown was becoming a bitter stalemate for another season. The Spring Counteroffensive The Northern Colonial army had two options, settle in at Baile Coilineacht and attempt another defense to stop the enemy, or launch a risky assault to throw the Galrans off to buy more time. Field Marshall Deruda chose the latter, mustering a force of 30,000 motorized light infantry, 40 armored cars, 30 tankettes, 10 landships, 100 light tanks, 20,000 standard infantry, 300 field guns and 500 mortars to stop the Galrans would launch a daring assault with the entire Northern colonial airforce and a GWR armored war train. The goal would be to meet the Galrans in the Velataich forest inbetween Og and Baile Coilineacht, here the rail lines Eastward were intact as Gaelic engineers and infantry began moving in with scouts to prepare for the assault. Air strikes would go in first, bomber biplanes and Starwolves attacking the approaching Galrans entering the area before a Crescendo of artillery surprised them, not from traditional artillery but heavy 44mm guns from what Gaelic soldiers simply called, Oliver, the war train formed the tip of the spear for the assault as Gaelic forces surged from the high grounds of the forest opening fire on Galran frontline troops. Motorized units swung Southward in the open country and began raids on the underbelly of the approaching invasion force, avoiding direct fighting for hit and runs drawing Galrans into the Zedonian countryside. Gaelic fire teams would organize themselves to fire from cover, avoiding the open fight and denying the Galrans the chance for an easy target while armored units, several Wolva tanks and landships engaged heavy infantry gatherings and armored units. Galran command was stunned at the UKUG launching an assault on the larger force, seeing it as highly risky. 'Oliver' Killing a Galran light tank The Gaels regardless forced a confrontation on their own terms for the first time since the war started in the colony, the thick forest forced Galrans to accept two undesirable truths. 1. They couldn't flood the field with armored units, they would have to painstakingly use what little entry ways their tanks could enter in. 2. The main entrance was guarded by Oliver which shredded Galran Longstreet tanks. Galran commanders requested that Southern command in Xaspeshi send heavy armored units to them, without them taking down Oliver would be a problem. Galran troops were forced into brutal killboxes to try and leverage the Gaelics out of the high ground they held in order to flank the armored train. What was looking like another siege where their overwhelming firepower would eventually force another retreat, became a brutal slog in a dense forest. Gaelic light motorized unit engaging Galrans

Jamestown
No one lived in Jamestown it seemed anymore, the once bustling city in Western Zedonia was just a military base now where the Royal Colonial army was fighting a brutal muddy war with Galra. The raining season had come, drenching the city and surrounding countryside and seeping its grounds with mud. Galra for the first time since it launched its massive war on Eastern Touli found itself in a very poor position, the mud season had come, strangling the logistical supply lines feeding the Jamestown assault force. Trucks were getting stuck in the mud roads East, soldiers found attacking over no man's land to be completely impossible and the attack on the city stalled out.
Artillery units fired until orders were given to limit strikes, the entire supply chain into Zedonia slowed down only the Northern routes with more developed roads and rail lines kept supplies flowing, but getting them to the large Jamestown attack force was a challenge. The UKUG chose to remain put, shoring up troops, supplies and more importantly tanks. Several Badger medium tanks and Wolva light tanks had come in, Odessa was preparing for the clap back, only Gaelic aircraft and artillery did anything of notice during the raining spring season. Striking the Galrans with near impunity as frontline Gaelics fought off the rare assault on their lines.
The largest assault came in the early weeks of the rain as Galran Longstreet and Corbah tanks attempted to cross the field. Their tracks sinking in the mud of what was formally tilled farmland before Gaelic artillery shelled their position. Galra was forced to accept a stalemate, a request for better tanks and reinforcements would be sent.

Galra slashed its saber at the Velataich forest and her inhabitants and found it to be dented and smoothed from its sharpened blade, the fighting was some of the most intense of the war in Zedonia so far, with Oliver's help the Gaelics butchered the Galrans for the first time in the open battlefield and limited their armored advantage to nothing. Chokepoints across the forest forced Galrans into kill zones that were unfavorable. Forcing them to do something uncharacteristic, force a full on assault with infantry, the Galrans had relied on superior firepower so far and watched as they slaughtered Toulians across the continent use mass infantry assaults to counter them to utter failure. Now they were forced to do the same, Galran infantry launched their assault with artillery strikes across the forest striking several trees and naturally formed depressions doing little damage to the Gaelics. They stormed right into a murderous hell of well placed machine guns, riflemen and eventually Oliver coming up the tracks of the central forest railline. Galran infantry platoons had explosives for the train, taking it out would help tremendously and allow armored support in the enclosed forest. What came from those final days in the Spring of 1935 were utter desperation as Galran ground forces continued to rush at Gaelics and even overrunning them at certain points, trees were destroyed and splintered leaving sections of the old forest uncovered and the ground floor full of splintered wood and shell casings. Despite their best efforts it all came undone with Oliver's arrival, the armored train brought firepower the Galrans didn't have, blind and zealous charges at the train resulted in entire fire teams being exterminated attempting to place explosive charges on the steam engine or any of the armored cars. At one point, a Gaelic Colonel noted that the Galrans seemed utterly obsessed with rushing to their death against heavy machine gun fire and trying to reach their objective. The Gaels held on for what would be the last days of the Spring season, Galra had for the first time in the war been stopped in Eastern Touli. But the Gaelics were trapped in their own forest, attacking the Galrans superior numbers, especially their armored units, would be suicide. And so a forced stalemate was imposed in Northern Zedonia. Still, to stop the invasion from reaching the colonial capital was seen as a victory for the Gaelics. "Its a start" - Field Marshall Derada. Results of a Galran assault on a Gaelic position in the Velataich forest

Summer of 1935 Jamestown General Khambi Odessa had been preparing for months, preparing over his armored units for a daring counter attack on the Galrans, they had made little progress with the heavy spring rains and brutal winter. Artillery barrages pounded the Galran front lines for a full two salvos before the Galrans recovering from the strikes would be greeted with the roar of Staol powered tanks sallying forth from the broken city of Jamestown. Leading them were the 30 Badger medium tanks that had up until this point been placed in the rear lines waiting for this very moment, at their flank were 100 wolva light tanks, 60,000 standard infantry, 10,000 light infantry and 12 landships. Odessa's mad charge had begun. "Forward! Push them back to their hell!" across the Western plains of the Jamestown countryside several Gaelic tanks pressed against the Galran lines smashing through the battle worn defenses with ease as Odessa on top of his own Badger tank made little work of some Mk2 Clanker tanks. "GO GO GO GO!" He shouted to his men, several infantrymen rushed on foot near the tanks, a massive assault that threw the Galrans off. The UKUG wasn't known for human wave assaults, preferring to whittle the enemy down with artillery and prolonged engagement. Odessa guessed the Galrans had expected this and planned for a long siege on Jamestown, his gamble paid off as the nearly year long frontal defenses Galra had constructed collapsed under Gaelic steel. The assault met heavier resistance about five miles deep into Galran occupied territory where they met large numbers of Galran light tanks and heavier artillery support. Infatry groups were bogged down by machine gun fire and counter infantry formations. Odessa's assault charge had come to a bitter and slow crawl, but his Badger tanks were eating the SU mass produced tanks alive, their thicker armor and larger gun outmatched the enemy light tanks. Though some Badgers became victims of heavy fire from light tanks and artillery, the Gaelic advantage was pretty clear. Wolva tank numbers balanced out the engagement as a massive motorized hell began to erupt on the hot sunbaked plains of Western Zedonia, "STAY MOBILE!" Odessa shouted, he even yelled into the short wave range radios the tanks had. Gaelic infantry found cover in small depressions in the ground and ditches made by farmers before the Galrans overran the plains. Small arms firefights erupted as the tanks dueled for armored supremacy. The Galrans still outnumbered the Gaelics significantly and their larger numbers began to suppress Odessa's forces, forcing them to a stall, "Lay down suppressive fire!" the general called out, "We can't we're under heavy fire!" his infantry would respond. As brave as Gaelic soldiers were, they were not stupid, attacking machine guns and heavy rifle positions was not in their training. Staying behind cover and adapting by staying alive and fighting under any means. That was the Gaelic way to fight. Enemy artillery barrages began to tear into the infantry and destroy some of the tanks, the assault was looking like it could fail until the sound of loud buzzing deafened the men below. Several T-30 CAS fighters came in swiftly dropping bombs and firing their heavy guns at enemy armor and infantry disrupting the Galrans. 25 CAS fighters broke the Galran suppressive fire allowing the Gaelics to leap again at them, the Galrans had to fall back to their rear defenses, the longstreet tanks they had struggled against Wolva and Badger tanks. With their position compromised a request for reinforcements was sent out. Odessa fired an orange flare to signal to the rest of the Jamestown garrison of their success at breaking through. 300,000 troops would surge Westward with the remaining armored units as artillery units were collected to be moved forward. Telegrams of the assault's success reached Sepedia, granting for the first time, victory in the eyes of the colonial Gaelics.

Odessa's Campaign Gaelic forces under General Odessa pushed Galran deployed units toward the Center of Zedonia to their breaking point, losing the Halls supply base uprooted any confidence the Galrans had of holding against the armored assault launched by Odessa and the Jamestown forces. It began to look as if they could push Galra right onto the border of Mushibad causing such chaotic disruption to the invasion of Zedonia that it would force all Galran offensive operations into the colony to cease. Odessa was already sending armored cars and motorized troops North to flank and encircle the Galrans stopped at Velataich, this left Galra with two options hold their lines near the forest and attempt to stave off the Gaelics or retreat to Og and dig in as Colonial forces began to swing momentum to their favor. To Odessa's shock and honestly amusement, Galra had still refused to pull heavy armored units in Xaspesh to confront him. With the Galran supply lines in Zedonia compromised the time to launch an all out assault had come. Following a large artillery and aerial strike on the Galran lines Gaelic Colonial forces began their attack. Odessa and the Jamestown forces formed a frontal battleline to assault Galran forces in the Central colony and South to begin pushing them Westward while Velataich forces used the war train 'Oliver' to spearhead an assault on Galran forces digging in at Og. The Galran commanders in Zedonia now demanded heavy armor be reassigned to the Gaelic front, detailing a much needed shipment of supplies and reinforcements or risk Galra losing ground gained in the war so far. As if things couldn't get worse for Galra, Clay Allison and his remaining insurgents launched their next assault hitting Galran outposts in Northern Zedonia causing disruption and chaos in Galran support lines to Og. Galra deployed its entire remaining strike force at the Gaelics, every effort to push back the assault would be made creating yet another devastating battle to break out. Galran numerical supremacy stalled the Gaelic assault, with more tanks and troops and better technology the Galrans for the moment found themselves in a deadly stalemate with the Colonial forces. But Odessa was striking the entire occupation line, his armored units and motorized troops testing anywhere and everywhere forcing Galra to clock in overtime to manage the massive warfront. The Battlefront teetered on the edge of a knife, the Galrans could win with their larger numbers but the Gaelics launching their bold attack could break through and cause massive problems for the Galran Toulian campaign. Two issues arose for both sides, for Ulster-Gaelia they were outnumbered still with enemy armored units as most of Colonial Galra's armored corp was here fighting, the issue for Galra was the Gaelic insurgency disrupting their operations in their own occupation zones. Galra needed to kill Clay Allison assigning several special infantry units to hunt him and his insurgency down. Gaelic riflemen firing at Galran troops in Western Zedonia

Odessa's CampaignGalran lines began buckling, whatever advantage they held was being swept away by Gaelic Colonial Army forces hammering their lines. RAF bombers and fighters struck deep behind enemy lines while artillery units pounded front line defenders prior to more armored assaults followed by infantry forcing the Galran invasion of Zedonia to retreat. With the battlelines wavering, Galran commanders in Zedonia made one final plea to their superiors. "We desperately need heavy armor to be reassigned here to Zedonia, we need reinforcements and more armored units. The Gaelics will break through in a few weeks." Odessa's gamble worked, in tandem with Gaelic insurgents hitting supply depots and the RAF remaining fueled and armed thanks to Cricon being a fortress full of ammo and fuel. The UKUG Colonial army had retaken lost territory and inflicted heavy losses on the Galrans. Liberation of OgThe sharp whistle of Oliver could be heard as Gaelic engineers rebuild rail lines heading West, nearby the armored train were elements of the Gaelic armored corps and motorized infantry divisions all heading to liberate the fallen city of Og. Field Marshall Derada wasn't going to waste time, with Odessa pushing the Galrans in the center back West it meant the Northern forces were either cannibalizing their forces to counter what was being lost or they were holding up in the city. It was a one two punch he would not miss out on, Gaelic forces hit Og hard with air strikes and artillery as frontline troops engaged dug in Galrans and armor fighting to hold the city. It would take another week for Oliver to arrive and bring close heavy support to ground troops but some Wolva and Badger tanks spared from the Odessa campaign made up for the lack of the armored train. Gaelic Colonial forces begin pushing the Galrans back West.

Galran War Command
The Galran War Command would finally relent on their stance with the heavy tanks. Forty of the fifty tanks sent to the Southern fronts would be redirected northward to aid in the Zedonia campaign. All would be sent to aid in the central front to retake Jamestown and push further into the heart of the Gaelic colony. Along with these redeployments, twenty additional heavy tanks were shipped in from the mainland to help the defenders in Og, along with forty brand new medium tanks. With this shipment, forty light tanks were also beign shipped off to Og, though would require some time to get there due to the distance. Both fronts were also graced with an additional thirty Lancers each, seeming to be additional stock
To replace the heavy-hitting momentum they desired against the Xaspeshi, the motorized infantry would receive an upgrade of mechanized half-tracks to move across the difficult southern terrain to attack with swiftness.
