The trip to the designated meeting room was short enough afterwards. As they entered the castle, the rooms could be found to be richly decorated, with flourish and money well put into it's keepings. An overabundance of gold, gemstones and silver was found within the decorations, with a mix of oil paintings shown throughout. In some, large landscape pieces were found, the themes mixed between the snowy wildness of Mil'Nor and what looked to be founding settlements. Other times, a battle could be found, with bright colors signifying the banners of one of the three Clans. Of these, only three times was a piece depicted with all three Clans shown in combat, the nearest to the meeting room next to a picture of a more modern styling in artistic choice, one quite similar to that of the current guards that would be escorting Scofield in both the martial ware he wore and the insignia the royal bore.
Once they entered the meeting room, the diplomat would find it just as much richly decorated as the hallways had been. A large grandfather clock sat in one corner of the room, it's ticking continuing as the occupant of the desk in the center rose in greeting. "Greetings, Ambassador Scofield, and welcome to our home. I am High Chief Nils Tolvaj, of Clan Tolvaj. I see Clan Chief Dravos has accompanied you along with my aide. My friend, might you take the guards out for some drills? I'm sure they could use the excitement away from escort duty." Where before Dravos had exerted a sense of strength and power, his body tone seemed to change to that of a boy taking orders from his father. Wordlessly, the he'd smile and raise and arm, marching the two smaller Mil'Nor out as he closed the doors behind them.
Nils motioned towards the two chairs before them. "Now, you two take a seat and we can get about the business before us three."

"I believe we have agreed with Great Western Railway to be the primary company that helps operate, construct and maintain the railways. And I believe we can get started on building the initial rail line from Fuar to your capital once we settle on its construction price. It would be 453 miles of track, we'd place two lines one outbound one inbound. 3 long range locomotives, 2 of them balanced and one primarily for freight. 2 Faye shunters which will help build and maintain the trains themselves, all in all this comes down to costing roughly 23,870 units of silver."

The High Chief nodded, the look on his face neutral for the most part as he took a moment to let silence reign. When he spoke, a bit more of an exhaustion was felt within his tone, the Mil'Norans age seemingly to show as he leaned back into his chair. "That will be acceptable, if I am to understand the terms correctly. If you will excuse my curiosity, Ambassador, but our people have very little to go on when it comes to those from across the ways. I have heard many stories of wonders beyond what I could have dreamed, some of which I would like to see are true. Might you tell me a little about your home, in your own words?"
Kathrine for her part took the offered seat, having taken a pen and some notepaper from the desk as she began taking notes on the conversation between the two.

Scofield was a little taken aback by the question, "I'm from Conas, up the highlands of Alba. Its a beautiful bit of country surrounded by steep cliffs, mountains and green valleys. It's a rather quiet part of the UKUG, honestly nothing like it anywhere else, there's villages and towns surrounding the city you can only reach by mountain trails or taking the train. Far from home I am, used to think Conas was at the tip of the world, heh didn't know how big the world was then."

The Great Chief listened patiently to Scofield's description of his home. A slight nod was given in approval as the diplomat finished, Nils gaze wandering for a moment as he spoke.
"If I were to guess Mr Scofield, you might enjoy the mountainous peaks of Clan Gruvar. The cold can be difficult to handle, but on a clear day you can see all the way out to the horizon of our home here."
Nils took a moment to pause, the elder collecting his thoughts as his gaze returned to the diplomat once again.
"But as for business, I think we have a agreement thus far. Once work has completed on the initial line however, I would like us to reconvene and resume these discussions to see what other aid we may request in terms of the construction of these rail lines. Unless there was something else you wanted to discuss, I belive we have a treaty"

Nils looked over the document, taking a pen from the side before signing his own name onto the document, along with his title as High Chief of Mil'Nor. Placing the pen to the side, the man rose from his seat, offering a hand to the diplomat as he spoke. "Then let this document stand as the beginning of a new friendship, Mr Scofield. If I may ask, do you intend to seek residence here to help aid negotiations, or shall you be taking your vessel home to inform your superiors?"

"I'll be seeking residence here to assist in continued communication and oversight of the railroad's construction, GWR will get to work as soon as the initial payment for the first line is completed, and they'll begin laying down track from the North. Is there anything else I can help with otherwise?"

"No, I belive we've covered all the basics for now, Ambassador. My aide will see to your quarters and whatever else you may require during your stay here. If anything else of note arises, my door is always open to you, Mr Scofield."
As he finished, Kathrine rose from her seat, starting towards the door as she spoke 'If you will follow me, Ambassador.'

Scene: Foreign Quarter of the Capital City of New Raltera, Fessera 2nd of 1931.
The Foreign Quarter of the city had grown exponentially over the past year. Where once it had sat as a small area set aside as residence for those of wealth within the Clans, now it was filled with those from all across the world. Kumo, Frannare, Ulster-Gaelia, Marrlan and the Kithium all had their own section of the Quarter to themselves, although the two old world powers would have their embassies set on opposite sides of the Quarter.
The UKUG Embassy, settled in a townhouse purchased by the government, had been arranged to the chosen specifications of Ambassador Scofield.
As for today, Kathrine Mengele had gone to speak with the Ambassador, the woman having made her way down to the embassy despite the chilling cold outside as winter gripped the continent.

Mengele entering the embassy would be greeted by the new foyer placed as a waiting room, the warm air of a steam boiler installed would sooth the bitter cold outside upon closing the door, a young red haired Celtic woman behind a brown wooded desk smiled saying “Welcome to the embassy of the United Kingdom of Ulster-Gaelia, how may I help you today?”

"I'm here to meet with Ambassador Scofield on behalf of the High Chief." She said. The warm air was welcomed, the woman once again mentally thanking the wonders of the old as she gave the receptionist an appreciative smile. "Beyond that, I hope this winter hasn't been too hard for the Ambassador, from my understanding they hit harder down here there most elsewhere"

"Of course right this way" she would escort Menegele to Scofield's office, it was warm with a small fireplace near the wall that chambered into the main middle section of the building. "Ambassador, A Menegele is here to see you." the secretary said, Scofield acknowledged her and Menegele would be allowed in. "Welcome Menegele! Welcome to our humble embassy, how may help you today?" Scofield said with some excitement, the secretary would offer to serve drinks with Scofield taking a coffee.

"I've come to pick up where we left off a few months ago. The High chief has found the aid given thus far to be a good reason to expand our relationship further." Kathine said. She'd make her way into the office proper, choosing a coffee for her own refreshment from the cold outdoors. Finding a seat after, Kath spoke once more. "We have drafted first plans of a ralline between the Kithium League and Mil'Nor. This connection would serve to aid not just trade between the League and Mil'Nor, but also between the colonies of the UKUG and the Kith themselves. If your people are able, we are willing to discuss purchase of your investment into such a ralline."

Scofield gave an amused expression, “that would be ideal if the railway connected to GWR. It would serve the purpose of increased trade and prosperity so we are definitely interested in investment.”
